When you play horizontal bingo games online you’re essentially playing regular bingo. The difference in horizontal bingo as opposed to 75, 80, or 90 ball bingo is that you aren’t looking for a specific pattern. Instead, what you want is a complete horizontal mark-up on your card.
What this means is that your card will have a complete row completely full. Unlike vertical bingo, where you’re looking for the columns to be filled, or diagonal bingo where a diagonal pattern is wanted, this came, as the name suggests, is won with a horizontal pattern.
To play horizontal bingo, you need a card that has a row of 5 numbered squares and 5 columns going up and down. When the game begins the Caller, or person who calls out the numbers, spins the number bin and picks out a ball at random. Each player then finds the number called on their card and marks the box accordingly. Then, as mentioned above, the player with a full row of 5 marked is the winner.
There is a box in the very centre of the card that has no number. This is a “wild” box. The word “wild” is a term used in bingo to describe a box that counts as a number without actually having one. In other words, if you have a row that runs through a “wild” box, even through you haven’t marked it, it counts towards you win.

After a player has all of their boxes filled in a horizontal line, they win. Their card is verified by the Caller to make sure all of the numbers that were called are represented on the winning card. Once the card is verified, the player wins.
Every game has a prize for the winner. The better the win, the better the prize! If a prize in online horizontal bingo is won by more than one person, the value of each prize is determined and split between the winners. It is a general rule of thumb not to play with more cards than you can handle.
